Parking in the city centre
Paid parking is available in the city center and surrounding neighborhoods. Click to view the Rotterdam parking zones and rates. In the city, you can park in one of the many covered parking garages (cash, debit, or credit card). Municipal city garages are often cheaper. Parking for more than 2 hours? Purchase a discount card online in advance, which is even more affordable.
Reserve a parking spot
Not in the mood for parking stress? Reserve a parking spot in one of the municipal parking garages in advance. This way, you’ll avoid driving around aimlessly and often save money. With a Dagje-uit discount card, you save on parking fees and ensure a guaranteed spot for your visit to Rotterdam.
Parking outside the city center
At the Park+Ride (P+R) facilities (see map below) in and around the city, you can park for free if you continue your journey using public transport. This allows you to avoid the hustle and bustle of the city center and reach the heart of the city in just a few minutes. This applies to the Park+Ride facilities at Meijersplein, Alexander, Kralingse Zoom, Noorderhelling and Slinge. These locations are easily accessible from the highway.
Street parking
In Rotterdam, you can also park on the street. There are different rates for street parking. In the city center a different rate applies than in the surrounding neighborhoods. You can pay via a parking app or at a pay machine. Do you often park in the same area and live or work there? Then you can apply for a parking permit. This is also cheaper.
Disabled parking
People with a disability parking permit are allowed to park in designated parking spaces. For more information, visit the dedicated page on the Municipality of Rotterdam's website.
Coaches and touringcars
Coaches can park free of charge 24 hours a day at six designated locations in and around the city centre: Blaak, Boompjeskade, Mariniershof, Museumpark, Parkhaven and Zalmstraat. These locations are spread across the city and are easily accessible for touringcars and other forms of group transport, such as bus tours to Rotterdam. They provide a convenient base for visiting the city centre and its main attractions.

Parking in Hoek van Holland
In Hoek van Holland, parking is limited, especially on busy beach days. Visitors are therefore advised to travel by public transport or bike.
If you do come by car, you can park for free, including at the beach. The village has a Park+Ride (P+R) facility, and there are several blue zones where you can park for up to two hours with a parking disc, such as the car park behind Albert Heijn, part of Prins Hendrikstraat, and Rietdijkstraat. At P+R Hoek van Holland, parking is free, with specific rules depending on the duration of your stay and whether you continue your journey by public transport. Check the latest conditions on the Municipality of Rotterdam website.
