Dutch City Council Elections

18 March 2026

On Wednesday 18 March 2026, municipalities across the Netherlands will hold elections for their city councils. These councils make decisions on local issues such as housing, public transport, sustainability projects, and community services. And you may be eligible to vote!

Plan your appointment

At the Rotterdam International Center you can book an appointment to register with the municipality to receive a BSN, make an appointment with the IND to collect your residence permit, and/or to provide your biometrical information and open a Dutch bank account with ABN AMRO. This service is called the One-Stop-Shop.
