    1. Buy
      Order on the City Card webshop for immediate mobile access or grab a voucher code at Rotterdam Tourist Information.
    2. Activate
      Download the Rotterdam City Card app (iOS/Android), enter your code or follow the link in your confirmation email, and activate just before your first use.
    3. Use
      Scan your digital QR code on-site or online to save 25 %–50 % on Rotterdam activities (museums, tours, restaurants and more), and enjoy unlimited travel on the metro, trams, and buses.

      You can also book discounted tickets directly through the app, redeem your QR code at partner ticket offices, and even transfer your pass to another device if needed.
  • 2. Where can I buy the Rotterdam City Card?

    You can buy the Rotterdam City Card online via our official website or at one of our Rotterdam Tourist Information locations: in the main hall of Rotterdam Central Station and in Hoek van Holland, next to metro station Hoek van Holland Haven.

    The Rotterdam City Card with public transport is available in three versions:

    • 1 day: €15.-
    • 2 days: €22.50
    • 3 days: €27.50

    We also offer a 3-day card without public transport for €10.- .

    • Unlimited public transport
      Simply scan your City Card QR code on any RET tram, bus or metro for unlimited travel with your 1, 2 or 3-day City Card
    • How to use it
      Open the app, tap Travel for transport or Deals for attractions, then scan the corresponding QR code on-site or in-app.
  • 5. Is public transport really unlimited, and how long is my card valid?

    • Unlimited travel: Yes – your Rotterdam City Card grants truly unlimited rides on all RET trams, buses and Metro Rotterdam lines A–E, with no extra tickets needed.
    • Validity period: Available as a 1-, 2- or 3-day pass. Each “day” runs from your first activation until 04:00 AM the following morning, and multi-day passes cover consecutive calendar days.
    • Cost comparison: A standard RET 1-day pass is € 11.00. A 1-day Rotterdam City Card costs € 15 but includes instant savings on attractions, for example, two 50% deals (Kunstinstituut Melly and The Keringhuis at Maeslantkering) alone save you well over €10.00.
