Sustainability powered by energy
Postillion Hotel & Convention Centre WTC takes a comprehensive approach to sustainability, focusing on reducing emissions, conserving resources, and enhancing social impact. The venue is actively phasing out gas by 2026 and installing solar panels at all locations. With BREEAM certification already in place, the building demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainable construction and energy management. Energy and water usage are closely monitored, with annual reduction targets set to drive ongoing improvement.
Smart, sustainable catering
Food is a central part of any event, and Postillion ensures it is both high quality and environmentally responsible. Menus are built around seasonal and local ingredients, significantly reducing food miles and avoiding overproduction. Meals are portioned per guest to minimize waste, supported by efficient sourcing and strategic planning.
As part of its Plant First initiative, 50% of the menu is already plant-based, with a full shift to plant-based as the default set for July 2025. Emissions from animal-based meals will be offset through the Meetings for Trees program, supporting reforestation efforts.
Supporting people and culture
Postillion’s sustainability philosophy extends beyond environmental impact to the well-being of its people. Employees benefit from personal development tools such as GoodHabitz, a €1,500 annual study budget, and mental health support. The company also contributes €2.50 per hour toward student loan repayment and offers financial coaching, which has contributed to Postillion's Great Place to Work certification.
