Van Nelle Fabriek (former tobacco factory)

Capacity: up to 7,000

Originally a tobacco factory and regarded as a pinnacle of Dutch industrial heritage, the Van Nelle Factory secured its position as a UNESCO World Heritage site in June 2014. Built between 1927 and 1930, this architectural gem exemplifies the functionalist ‘Nieuwe Bouwen’ (New Construction) movement. The design by Brinkman & van der Vlugt maximizes natural light, air, and space – showcasing a visionary approach.

The factory underwent a renovation from 2002 until 2024. Today, it serves as a vibrant hub for media and design enterprises, offering twelve rooms ideal for meetings, conferences, symposiums and business events. The Van Nelle Factory not only maintains its historical significance but also provides a contemporary and dynamic backdrop for gatherings of up to 7,000 attendees – a perfect blend of the past with the present.

Hulstkamp Building (former distillery)

Capacity: up to 1,000

Built in 1888 as a distillery, Rotterdam’s Hulstkamp Building stands as a cherished landmark on Noordereiland. The Hulstkamp Building is one of the few buildings in our modern city that have stood the test of time. Today known as a versatile event space, the Hulstkamp Building sits along the banks of the Maas, near the Erasmus Bridge. The Hulstkamp Building features a variety of spaces including a grand main hall, intimate boardrooms, dynamic meeting rooms, a picturesque outdoor terrace and engaging conference and exhibition spaces. Inside the building is an enclosed courtyard topped with a glass roof, ideal for enjoying a cup of coffee or relaxing. With a capacity for up to 1,000 participants, the venue is one-of-a-kind for receptions and events.

Hotel New York (former HQ of Holland America Line)

Capacity: up to 200

Hotel New York opened its doors in 1993. This building on the banks of the River Maas was formerly the Holland America Line head office. Dating from 1917 it is typical of the period.

The hotel has up to 72 bedrooms, two restaurants and seven function rooms for staging business events and celebrations. The largest is the Ballroom which can hold up to 100 people when set up as a theatre although it can be arranged as desired. Located at the end of the Wilhelmina Pier in the Kop van Zuid district, the hotel enjoys convenient access to car parks and garages nearby. With excellent connectivity options including access to water taxi services and the Wilhelminaplein metro station, Hotel New York stands as the ideal destination for your stay.

Euromast (iconic landmark)

Mainporthotel (breathtaking waterfront views)

Capacity: up to 450 (800 for Inntel Hotels)

RDM Submarine Wharf and RDM Next (maritime history)

Located in Rotterdam’s port area, overviewing the river Maas, RDM Rotterdam is Rotterdam’s hotspot for maritime innovation and a unique environment for business events. While its venues have undergone renovations to meet modern (event) standards, they proudly retain their raw and industrial character.

​Encompassing a vast surface area of 4,280m2, the RDM Submarine Warf is able to accommodate up to 5,000 visitors. ss Rotterdam (former ocean-going steamer and cruise ship)

The ss Rotterdam, the largest ocean-going steamer ever constructed in the Netherlands and the former flagship of the Holland America Line, now stands as an iconic fixture moored in Rotterdam’s Maashaven. Transformed into a captivating venue, this repurposed cruiser houses a four-star hotel, two restaurants, and two bars, all exuding the charm of the 1950s with some original features still integrated.

With 14 function rooms, including the Grand Theatre, the ss Rotterdam can host congresses for up to 500 participants in theatre style and 400 for dining events. The theatre itself sets the stage for a unique experience, and the possibility of combining various onboard spaces allows for events catering to more than 2,000 participants. Catering is designed to impress guests with options including a plated dinner, buffet-style service, or themed cuisine.

BlueCity (former swimming paradise turned circularity hotspot)

Once a tropical swimming pool, this complex has been transformed into a circular economy hub, serving both the city and the region.​

Laurenskerk (Church of St. Lawrence)

Capacity: up to 1,200

The Laurenskerk, or Church of St. Lawrence, originally arose on the banks of the River Rotte, and its location can truly be called the birthplace of Rotterdam. Built between 1449 and 1525, this imposing church is Rotterdam’s only surviving late Gothic building. After the bombing of Rotterdam during World War II, the image of the heavily damaged church and the reconstruction works that followed became a symbol of all that the city and its people had endured.​ The Laurenskerk, with its museum-like layout, offers a versatile space for professional gatherings. The absence of fixed seating allows for flexible configurations, accommodating groups of any size. With thoughtful lighting, the church transforms into a fairy-tale setting, capable of seating up to 1,200 in a theatre/concert arrangement or hosting dinners for 150 to 1,000. Complete with in-house catering facilities and the option to bring in external caterers, the Laurenskerk offers a unique historical backdrop for a remarkable event.
