Praat Nederlands Day 2026
On 26 November, internationals from across the Rotterdam region are invited to come together for a day dedicated to speaking, practising, and experiencing Dutch in a fun and accessible way. Take that next step in speaking Dutch!

What is Praat Nederlands day?
Praat Nederlands Day is a city-wide event that encourages internationals to actively use Dutch in real-life situations. Throughout the day, participants can join a variety of activities designed to help them practise their language skills, meet new people, and discover different ways to learn Dutch.
The focus is not on perfect grammar or flawless pronunciation. Instead, it is about building confidence, having conversations, and taking part in everyday interactions in Dutch.
Participants can look forward to:
- Practical opportunities to speak Dutch in a relaxed and supportive environment
- Activities suitable for different language levels
- The chance to meet fellow internationals and Dutch speakers
- Inspiration, tips, and resources to continue learning after the event
- A welcoming atmosphere where making mistakes is part of the learning process
Whether you prefer structured learning activities, informal conversations, or interactive experiences, there will be plenty of ways to participate and practise.
Learning Dutch can open doors to new opportunities!
