This trade mission focuses on opportunities in port development in Romania and Bulgaria, with particular attention to the ports of Constanța, Burgas, and Varna. 

The region is gaining strategic importance because: 

  • The EU is investing in new transport corridors (TEN-T); 

  • The Black Sea is becoming a key hub between Europe and Asia (Middle Corridor);

  • There is strong demand for port expansion, modernization, and sustainability. 

For Dutch companies, this creates opportunities, as the Netherlands has strong expertise in port development, logistics, and maritime technology, and there are concrete development plans in these ports. 

During this mission, we will:

  • Explore business opportunities in port development 

  • Build a local network (authorities, port operators, companies) 

  • Gain insight into upcoming projects and tenders 

  • Position Dutch expertise in the region 

Who can join?

Dutch companies active in: 

  • Port development (infrastructure, logistics, dredging) 
  • Supply of maritime equipment and technology 
  • Industry associations 
  • Knowledge institutions and other relevant stakeholders 

Tentative program

  • Participation in Maritime Business Week in Constanța 

  • Visits to the ports of Constanța, Burgas, and Varna 

  • Meetings with public and private stakeholders 

  • Networking events such as receptions and dinners 

What will it cost?

Participating in this mission will cost:

  • €650 (excluding VAT) for one participant 

  • €325 (excluding VAT) per additional participant 

Included: program, local transport, and support 
Excluding: travel and accommodation costs
