VISIT...

BERGSE DORPSSTRAAT
Quattro Women (no. 56) forms part of three stores in Hillegersberg: Women, Men and Living. In this ‘women’ branch, you will find quality clothing from such houses as Burberry, Strenesse and St. Emile. Restaurant La Salute (no. 65) is the place if you are looking for authentic Italian food in a relaxed atmosphere. The pizzas and pastas are exquisite and the menu not only features classics, but also some nice surprises. Kroonbergs/Karthaus (no. 99a) is a unique interior design store. In addition to the exclusive collection of fabrics, wall coverings, paints and carpets, the store is the only stockist of Kenzo crockery in the Netherlands. DesiDeri (no. 110) stands for fashionable, contemporary, provocative and eye-catching ladies’ footwear of the very best quality, mainly from Italy. As the name suggests, De
Nimes (no. 128) is the place for denim, from such brands as Dsquared2, Pinko and Diesel. But this luxury ladies’ fashion store sells a lot more than jeans: lots of tops, T-shirts and cashmere, for example.

FREERICKSPLAATS
Forte (no. 1a), in minimalist style, stocks luxury ladies’ and men’s footwear and bags by Gucci, Paul Smith, Tod’s, Dior, Burberry and Jimmy Choo, among others. A little further along, you will find Kool  (no. 5). At this menswear store, the emphasis is on elegance and personal customer service. Brands include Zegna, Façonnable, Hackett
and Etro. The elegant L’Altradonna (no. 12a-14a) stocks mainly Italian women’s fashion, such as Valentino Lingerie and Patrizia Pepe, but also Hugo Boss, G-star, Day and Chick on a Mission.

WEISSENBRUCHLAAN
Facet (no. 8) is the café-bar where the locals, tourists and business people come together for a quick lunch or delicious dinner. For anyone who loves chocolate, De Bonte Koe (no. 25) is a must. Their spectacular chocolates and legendary bouchées are made by hand in their own studio. Leeser  (no. 106) sells top of the range ‘prêtàporter
de luxe’. At Akkerman opticians (no. 152-154), it’s all about the art of seeing and being seen. The frames and sunglasses vary from unusual design to super-stylish.
