VISIT...

KRUISKADE AND THE SURROUNDING AREA
Close to Central Station you will find the Plaza shopping mall, where La Coccinelle (Plaza 12 and 20), among others, has set up shop. It stocks the most beautiful baby and children’s clothing from such brands as Timberland, Elle-Kenzo and DKNY. Mothers are also catered for next door, at La Coccinelle shoe shop. Wolford (Kruiskade 88) is the brand for luxury (body) stockings, lingerie and swimwear, featuring designs by Vivienne Westwood, among others. At Caroline Biss (no. 59) you will find elegant and glamorous women’s fashion. Shoe store Shoebaloo (no. 57c) converted a former cinema into a spectacular showroom for its trendy collection of top-brand men’s and women’s footwear.

KAREL DOORMANSTRAAT
Ziggy (no. 319) stocks the cutest shoes for children and teenagers (size 18 to 38) from France and Italy. The fusion menu and the modern retro layout make Entree (no. 352) a cool and relaxed place to enjoy lunch or a coffee break. Stylish, sexy and stalwart fashion victims go to So.eve (no. 326) for clothes by D&G, Drykorn and R.E.D. Valentino.
The Van den Assem shoe store (Aert van Nesstraat 38, 44-50) is unrivalled in Rotterdam when it comes to both size and allure. The men’s and women’s branches stock an international collection of luxury and trendy shoes to suit everyone. It is also well worth visiting nearby Lijnbaan for the Orange Café in the Orange Flagship Store (Lijnbaan
54), if only to admire its ultramodern design.

VAN OLDENBARNEVELTSTRAAT
East meets west at Lachino (no. 136), a clothes shop full of timeless designs with a festive touch. In addition to beachwear by Mart Visser, Girls Inc. (no. 95) has lots more beautiful things to offer, such as clothing by Killah, Guru, 10feet and Gsus and Ichi. Moreover, the shop can be hired for private sessions of funshopping with your girlfriends.
At Roush (no. 93), you could be excused for thinking you were in the trendy meatpacking district of New York. In a dark underground atmosphere, you will find such labels as Bruuns Bazaar and Blue Blood.
