Het Keringhuis, located beside the Maeslantkering floodwall on the Nieuwe Waterweg, answers all your questions about flood protection in South Holland. It is a varied exposition, educational and fun – both technical and entertaining. The exhibits include
a miniature version of the floodwall that can open and shut, a diver and canoe from centuries ago and an interactive computer quiz about why the water rises. You can also see how tiny people deal with the water in the polder and the river. There are all
sorts of things to see about protection from high water and flooding.
