The Walk of Fame was opened on 5 May 1990. 200 national and international celebrities have been commemorated for eternity in concrete on the boulevard along the Leuvehaven. The Walk of Fame is maintained by the Walk of Fame Europe Foundation. Some of the famous artists and athletes who have already made a tile are: Tina Turner, Joe Cocker, Mark Knopfler, Carlos Santana, Everly Brothers, Oleg Popov, Shirley Bassey, Cliff Richard and B.B. King.
