Situated in the city centre, the Grote of Sint-Laurenskerk – a building of mediaeval origin – is a place full of atmosphere. Inside its monumental walls three impressive organs, three memorial tombs for sea heroes, the copper choir fence and candle light define the historic atmosphere. Cultural events like concerts, lectures and expositions regularly take place.
